SUGGESTED ROUTES FROM LONDON
M4/M25/M40 via Thame (use Junction 6); or M1 to Watford and then A41 to Aylesbury (dual
carriageway from Junction 20 of M25, through to the edge of Aylesbury).

From Thame: About 3½ miles from Thame on A418 (heading in direction of Aylesbury) take
first left turn (signed for Cuddington). Go into Cuddington (about ½ mile) and turn left at
cross-roads. Leave Cuddington and continue until you have gone down a hill and crossed
two small bridges over the river (less than one mile). After about 200 yards turn right
(signed Winchendon). After ¼ mile turn right again (signed Nether Winchendon).

Drive through the village until you come to the church on the left and a triangle of grass with
pillar box (marked V.R.). Go to the right of this and after about 150 yards Nether
Winchendon House is on the right through large iron gates.

From Aylesbury: Take A418 in direction of Thame. Go through Stone (40mph limit) and take
first right after leaving 40mph limit (one mile), signed for Cuddington. Go into Cuddington
to cross-roads where you go straight on. Continue until you have gone down a hill
following directions “from Thame” (above).

SUGGESTED ROUTE FROM THE MIDLANDS
M40 south to Junction 9 (Bicester/Wendlesbury) where you take A41 in the direction of
Aylesbury. Drive through Waddesdon and after about ½ mile turn right (signed
Winchendon). Drive through Upper Winchendon and after about 1 mile take 2nd left turn at
the crossroads to Nether (or Lower) Winchendon. Do not take the first left turn. At foot
of hill turn left into Nether Winchendon. Drive through the village following directions
“from Thame” (above). In Nether Winchendon please respect the voluntary 20mph speed
limit.

SUGGESTED ROUTE FROM THE NORTH
M1 to Junction 24 (signed Oxford A43). Take A43 past Towcester until you reach Junction
10 (Cherwell Valley Services) on M40. Enter M40 southbound and then exit at Junction 9
and follow directions “from the Midlands” (above).

SUGGESTED ROUTE FROM THE WEST
Go to Oxford and then on A40 and A418 to Thame. Follow directions “from Thame” (above).
